How to Change Default User Avatars in phpFox

This article will focus on changing the default user avatars in phpFox.

Changing the default user avatars is a pretty simple task.   You will need to remember that there are 7 different files that you need to overwrite for each of the two default avatars.  These are various sizes, that are used throughout the site.

Login via FTP or your cPanel file manager, and navigate to:

theme/frontend/default/style/default/image/noimage/

In this folder you will find the following files:

female_profile.png
female_profile_20.png
female_profile_50.png
female_profile_60.png
female_profile_75.png
female_profile_100.png
female_profile_120.png

profile.png
profile_20.png
profile_50.png
profile_60.png
profile_75.png
profile_100.png
profile_120.png

Note that the female_profile.png and the profile.png are 200px x 200px.  All other files are the dimensions listed in the file name.

In order to upload new avatars/profile photos, you will need to create and load your new avatars with the same file names as the default ones.

Once you have overwritten the old files, you need to clear your cache either via the file manager or FTP client, or via the admincp.

You should now be able to change the default user avatars in your phpFox website!
