How to Burn Bootable CDs or DVDs in Windows

Written by Richi González Sunday, 5 February 2012

Hello,

Got an image and want to burn it in a way that whenever your machine runs, it boots the image on the disc? You can do it by following these simple steps. This is useful, for example, if you have downloaded a Linux distro, and want to test it first, before installing it.

Difficulty level: Easy

1. You will need a free tool called Infra Recorder. Download it here.

2. Install it.

3. Once you have downloaded the image, open Infra Recorder.

4. Click on Burn Image.. inside Actions ‘tab.

5. Browse for your image and select it.

6. Click on Burn.

Wait for it to finish. It might take a couple of minutes, depending on the disc, the image, your CD or DVD ROM, among others. If you get any problem, let me know and I’d be more than glad to assist you.

Best Regards,

Richi
