How to Backup and Restore a Database in WebSitePanel

This article will give you a step by step guide on how to backup and restore a database from your WebSitePanel. Sign into your WebSitePanel and follow these steps:
1) Go to Databases and either select SQL Server 2008 or MySQL 5.x, depending on which database you want to backup
For SQL Server 2008, continue on to step 2. For MySQL 5.x, skip to step 13.

2) Select the database you want to backup or restore. For this example, we will be using azopho
3) Click Maintenance Tools
4) Click either Backup or Restore, depending on what you want to do
To backup your database, continue on to step 5. To restore your database, skip to step 9.

5) Type in a file name for your database
6) Select if you want the file to be zipped or not
7) Select Download via HTTP to download the file to your local computer. Select Copy to Folder to simply copy the database to a folder in your website. If you choose to copy the database to a folder, you will have to select the folder.
8 ) Click Backup
Restore
9) Select Upload File to upload the file from your local computer. Select Hosting Space File to select the file from your website. If you choose to select the file from your website, you will have to find the file and select it.
10) If you chose Upload File, click Choose File
11) Select the folder that your database has been backed up to and open it
12) Click Restore
MySQL 5.x
13) Click Browse Database next to the database you want to backup or restore. For this example, we will be using wpdemo
To backup your database, continue on to step 14. To restore your database, skip to step 20.

14) Click Export
15) Scroll to the bottom of the page until you see the Save as file box
16) Select if you want this database to be saved as a template
17) If you do want this database to be saved as a template, enter a file name for the template
18 ) Select whether or not you want the file to be compressed, and how you want it to be compressed
19) Click Go
Restore
20) Click Import
21) Click Choose File
22) Select the file or folder that your database has been backed up to and open it
23) Click Go
