Add User Ranks in phpBB

Hello once again!

Today we are going to learn how to add custom ranks to your phpBB forums.

First as always log into your Forum Admin Control Panel (from here on it will be known as ACP)

Click Users and Groups as seen below:

At this point you will click Manage Ranks.

You will then be taken to the following screen:

Click Add New Rank and you will be taken to the following screen:

Let’s go over what is in this section of the page:

1. Rank Title: Here you will decide what the name of your new rank is

2. Rank Image: Here you can specify what kind of image you want for this rank.

3. Set as Special Rank: Yes – The rank can only be given to specific users
No – The rank is based on a post count threshold

4. Minimum Posts: This only matters if you don’t set this as a special rank.

Then the Submit button.

You can assign ranks to members in the Member Management section of the Admin Panel.
