Add a Custom Banner to your phpBB Forum

We will be discussing how to add your own forum banner in phpBB today.

You can set your banner Height and Width however you would like, generally though it’s 940×147.

I have created a custom banner for this specific tutorial using the above dimensions.

You will first upload this using file zilla. So navigate in your filezilla client to /public_html/yourforumsname/styles/themeyouuse/imagesets

Note: Your forum name is the name that you have installed the forum as

theme you use is exactly that the theme you use. It can be called prosilver etc.

So let’s go ahead and log into our ACP and navigate to the following banner

Click styles and you will be taken to the styles page. After it loads you will look on the left side, tword the bottom and click Imageset like the following image:

You will be taken to the following screen:

banner3

Ok so the top box allows you to select the type of logo you are looking for. Here we will select Main logo and click select.

1. This allows you to scroll through your image set and select the banner that you previously uploaded. I have done so already in the image above. After you do that you scroll down and you can change the dimensions of your image as follows:

banner4

1. This is your width

2. This is your image height

Once you are satisfied with that you can click submit and it will save.

Go check out your board index now!

If you have any questions please feel free to ask away!
