How to add a bar to separate Sticky thread in Xenforo

Today we are going to discuss how to add a bar of separate sticky threads from the rest of your threads.

It’s pretty easy and get’s great results!

So let’s go ahead and log into our Admin CP

Go ahead and navigate to Apperance and then to templates and search for thread_list like so:

click it and you will be taken to this page:

So we are going to search for the following code:

<xen:foreach loop="$stickyThreads" value="$thread">
            <xen:include template="thread_list_item" />

It should be about a 1/4 of the way down the page it looks like this:

Then directly below the code above you are going to add in this code:

<xen:if is="{$stickyThreads}">
            <hr class="stickySeparator"/>

Once we do that it will look like this:

Ok we are all done editing that one! Make sure that you save your changes and then navigate your way back to the templete editor screen and search for the following template:

It should look like this:

Click on it and you will see the following page:

Now for this all we have to do is scroll down to the very bottom and add the following code:

.stickySeparator {
  height: 10px;
  background-color: #f5f5f5;
  border-color: #ededed;
  border-top-style: none;
  border-left-style: none;
  border-right-style: none;
  padding: 0px;
  margin: 0px;

So it should look like this:

There you have it! Make sure that you click save. Once you go back to your main index you should see this for stickies!

Good Job you got it!
