Group Membership Manager for Elgg

The groups extension is a powerful tool that allows you to share content and discuss ideas between members. It comes with a message board, file sharing capabilities and rss feed. However it lacks of a good membership manager. In this article I will give you a step by step guide on how to add a group membership manager in elgg1. First get the Group Member Manager extension for Elgg 1.8 here. Once you download the plugin, unzip the file and copy to the mod folder.

2. Next log into elgg as an administrator. Go to the Administration Dashboard, then go to menu “Configure > Plugins“:

4. To manage the groups and member of groups of your site, go to menu “Administer > Groups > Member Manager“:
