Edit Site Footer in Opencart

When you install OpenCart for the first time, you are going to want to change numerous areas in terms of design / pages not only to be different but to give your clients the information they need about your company (about us page, delivery info, refund info and so on).

In this article, I am going to show you how you can customize the powered by OpenCart message in the footer of your store.

You need to follow these steps in order to get a customized footer.

Step 1:

Install Opencart and see the default footer content it looks something like the following image.


Step 2:

Go to following location in your installation directories.

<Installation Directory>\root\mystore\catalog\view\theme\default\template\common

Step 3:

You will be able to see multiple tpl files which are responsible for generating default components on opencart site. One of such component is footer and footer.tpl is the file which is responsible for generating that footer.TPLFileLocation

Step 4:

Default file looks like thisFooterTPL

You need to change it as follow. Then save that file.


Step 5:

Refresh your store page and you will be able to see changes on the fly.
