Ecwid (short for “e-commerce widgets”) is a shopping cart tool that works with your existing website to allow your customers to check out from your site without being redirected away from the page that they are currently on. How Does Ecwid Work?

Ecwid is designed to be as simple as possible. You simply insert a few lines of code into any page that you want, and your store automatically appears on that page! Customers are still checking out securely from your site, but will stay on that page that they are on. Ecwid uses Amazon EC2 servers to provide power and security for all transactions. Ecwid has a set of features that top all other free shopping carts!

How to Setup Ecwid?

Setting up Ecwid is extremely simple! To begin, click here to go to the Ecwid registration page.

Enter your Name, Email, and desired Password into the appropriate boxes. Then click Register.
(note: you have 3 days to validate your email address)

From your Dashboard, you can edit everything from payment methods to items to promotions.

Click on the System Settings tab

Enter the URL of your website into the Store Front URL and click Save

Click on the Dashboard tab

Copy the widget codes into your website’s code

Once you save the code into your website, your store will appear on that page!

And that’s all! Your store is now ready!
