Dynamic Meta Keywords in Clip-Bucket v2

Hello,

You probably might have noticed that any page you visit within your Clip-Bucket powered website, contains the same meta keywords. This can affect the indexing of your website by some crawlers. What we will do is to dynamically generate those meta keywords depending on the video you are watching. Written for v2.6.

1. Open ./watch_video.php

2. Find

//Displaying the template

and before that line, paste assign the video tags that will be read by our global_header just like this:

Assign('videokeywords',$vdo['keywords']);

3. Open ./styles/cbv2new/layout/global_header.html

4. Find

<meta name="keywords" content="{$Cbucket->configs.keywords}" />

and replace the line with:

<meta name="keywords" content="{$Cbucket->configs.keywords}{if $videotags},{$videokeywords}{/if}" />

5. Save and Upload.

There you go! Now the meta keywords will be generated according to the video’s keywords. If you get stuck at any step, please do not hesitate to contact me so I can work on your specific situation. Any questions, suggestions or comments are welcome!

Best Regards,

Richi

    Hi Richie, I’ve implemented these as per your instructions, But I’m now looking to add H1 & H2 tags as everytime I run an SEO test these are what I get errors showing for..

    Another SEO error is minifying CSS, how is that implemented in Clipbucket?

    Regards
    Pete

    • Hello,

      You can search Google for “minify css” and a bunch of online tools will come up. Past your CSS in any of those and it’ll return you a minified version.

      Richi
