Create a Sitemap in Joomla 3.0

This article is about how to create a site map on our site joomla 3.0. Using Xmap extension can do this. Xmap is a Site map generator component for Joomla. Allows you to create a map of your site using the structure of your menus.

  1. Download the plugin from joomla.org, here.
  2. Login to your site as an administrator, and then install the plugin. If you don’t know, can read this article.
  3. After installation, the next step is to activate the plugin. In this step, you have to activate all components of “Xmap” Search for the word “Xmap” and select all components are disabled: 3
  4. To configure, click on “Components-> Xmap”: 4
  5. We started creating, click on New: 5
  6. We fill the fields “title”, “alias”, select the status and access: 6
  7. In the tab Menus, select the menu will have the sitemap: 6-1
  8. In this step, publish the site map. Click Menus-> Main Menu-> Add New Menu Item 7
  9. Edit the menu, in “Menu Item Type” select “HTML Site map” and “Choose a site map” site map we just created. As in the image: 8
  10. And that’s it. To activate the menu, it will appear like this: 10
