Configuring Site Meta Keywords in Joomla 3

The purpose of the Meta keywords is to include background information on your page or website. They are important because they indicate to search engines that index by which terms to be found your site. In this article, I will show you how to change your site’s Meta keywords in Joomla 3.

  1. Login as an administrator to Joomla: img1
  2. In the left menu, click Global Configuration: img2
  3. Ensure you are on the Site tab by clicking Site. There, look for the Metadata settings. There, fill out the Site Meta Description, Meta Keywords and Content Rights. img3 Note: Select to hide your Joomla version.
  4. And finally, save your changes: img4

And that’s it! Site Meta Keywords are in place.
