Change “Post New Thread” button

Normally I only discuss how to change the Xenforo forum system yourself. However, I have found a way to change the buttons for each individual node that you have. So how do we do this?

Well first we are going to go ahead and download the resource. So I have provided the link below:

Post New Thread Button

So once we download it you are going to get up and working your favorite FTP client. You are going to unzip this folder. It’s a folder inside of a couple of folders like the image below:

So you are going to take that folder and upload it into your xenforo installation at the following location:

In your FTP client it will look like this:

So there is a folder and a .xml file in the unzipped file. We have uploaded the folder to our library and now we have to upload the xml file. Log into your Xenforo Admin CP.

From our Admin CP if you look on the bottom left you will see the following:

You will click Install Add-on and you will see the following page:

So from here we are going to click choose new file and navigate to our unzipped folder. We will up load the .xml file it’s located in the XML folder like so:

So click Install Add-on and you will see the following page:

Now in order to make this work we have to edit the node tree in order to change the text of the buttons.  We do this by editing the Node tree and you will see it right underneath the Description of the node!

If you have any questions please feel free to ask away!
