Using the Password Protect Directories function in the cPanel will allow you to set user and different passwords on your folders. Here is how you set this up. (PLEASE NOTE: IF YOU ARE USING FRONTPAGE EXTENSTIONS THIS WILL NOT WORK. YOU WILL NEED TO DISABLE FRONTPAGE EXTENSIONS.) Log in to your cpanel: domainname.com/cpanel. Scroll down to Password Protect Directories and click on the icon.

Step One:
In this Tutorial I am going to install b2evolution into my website using Fantastico. To begin, you must first login into your cpanel. This can be done by typing in your browser http://cpanel.yourdomain.com, or http://yourdomain.com/cpanel. You will then be asked for a username and password, which you chose when setting up your account. Once you are logged into cpanel, scroll about three-fourths of the way down the page and find the Fantastico De Luxe icon; which is the light blue, circular smiley face, in the middle far right of this screenshot.
