The new administrator site
The administrator site offers a new and friendlier environment that helps us to organize our site and configure:
One of the new changes is that the menu content of the administrator site is now located at the right side. It is separated in two groups: Administer (everyday tasks like monitoring reported content, checking who is online, and viewing statistics) and Configure (occasional tasks like setting the site name or activating a plug-in).
The first option of the Administer (the one that appears default in the administrator site) is the dashboard and it is very useful because it lets you track everything that’s happening on the site.
Users: In this section of the Administer you can check currently online users, newest users, add a new user and unvalidated
Statistics: view the site basic statistics and the entities of the site.
Utilities: has by default two items, the report content and the log browser.
The first option of the configure is the appearance you can modify the menu items of yours site, edit profile fields and the default widgets.
Plugins: you can active or deactivate your plugins.
Settings: here you can change basic settings of Elgg or the settings of some plugins.
